You will find a selection of articles related to the European Local Democracy Week (ELDW), a pan-European initiative co-ordinated by the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. The aim of the initiative is to foster local democracy and citizens participation at grassroots level.

We invite you to register your municipality on our website and follow us on Twitter (democracy_week) and Facebook (“European Local Democracy Week”) to receive our latest news.
 

We encourage to organise events and activities in accordance with the 2019 theme during the whole year, culmintating in a flagship event in the week of 15 October.
